Our Initiatives

Our association has implemented the following initiatives for the interest of members, along with GRS:

Scheduled initiatives/programme:
  • Initial registration under the West Bengal Society Registration Act-1961 in the name of "West Bengal Rozgar Sevak Welfare Association" (March-2011).
  • Mass deputation program in front of the Department of Panchayat and Rural Development (November-2011).
  • Creation of the Association's official Website, Facebook Page, and YouTube Channel for community building (February-2016).
  • 2nd State Level Convention at Malda Town (December-2016).
  • Commencement of the online Membership Application Process through the official website (June-2017).
  • Organization of a state-level program at Beherampur, Murshidabad (August-2017).
  • Mass deputation in front of the Department of Panchayat and Rural Development (September-2018).
  • Submission of Letter & Petition for the issue of Employees Provident Fund (EPF) (September-2018).
  • Participation in the National Level Meeting of the All India GRS Association in Lucknow (December-2018).
  • Mass deputation in front of the Department of Panchayat and Rural Development (February-2019).
  • New registration of the association as BENGAL GRAM ROJGAR SAHAYAK ASSOCIATION under the Indian Trust Act-1982 and West Bengal Registration Act-1962 (March-2019).
  • Formation of the Association's official bank account (May-2019).
  • Formation of West Bengal G.R.S Welfare Fund (May-2019).
  • Completion of the Association PAN Registration (June-2019).
  • Introduction of online payment for membership through the Payment Gateway from the Association's official website (July-2019).
  • Commencement of online payment for WBGRS Welfare Fund through Payment Gateway from the Association's official Website (September-2019).
  • Submission of a mass petition to the Department of Panchayat and Rural Development for the 60 years and remuneration increment issue (September-2019).
  • Providing the Financial Assistant from WBGRS Welfare Fund (December-2019).
  • Commencement of Legal Processing for different matters (December-2019).
  • Appointment of Accountant & Auditor for the Association (February-2020).
  • Contribution to the State Emergency Relief Fund for the Epidemic COVID-19/n-Corona (March-2020).
  • Introduction of the WBGRSA-Integrated Financial Management System (April-2020).
  • Submission of a mass petition to the Department of Panchayat and Rural Development for increment and seniority issues (October-2020).
  • Mass demonstration program in "Rani Rasmani Road, Kolkata" (February-2021).
  • Mass deputation program in front of the Department of Panchayat and Rural Development (February-2021).
  • Registration and approval of 12A, 80 (G) & TAN by the Income Tax Department, GoI (November-2021).
  • DLT registration (December-2021).
  • Mass deputation in front of the Department of Panchayat and Rural Development (March-2022).
  • The 3rd State Convention at Haripal Hooghly (June-2022).
  • Mass deputation in front of the Department of Panchayat and Rural Development (January-2023).
  • Submission Memorandum to Public Representative physically or by post (May-2023).
  • Submission Memorandum to CMO office, Uttarkanya (September 2023).
  • Submission of the Mass petition to the Department for Reservation issues (January-2024).
  • Registration of Welfare Fund as an autonomous setup under Gram Rojgar Welfare Foundation (March-2023).
  • Submission Memorandum to Public Representative physically or by post (January-2024).
  • Submission of the Mass petition to the Department for Gratuity and ESI issue (January-2024).

Regular initiatives/programme:
  • State Level Meeting on Physical Mode (Annual General Meeting, General Meeting, and Urgent Meeting) in every year.
  • Block & District Level Deputation Program every year.
  • Submission of Letters/Memorandum/Grievances to the Department (both central and state) and concerned authorities.
  • Submission of Letters/Memorandum/Grievances to the Public Representative and concerned authorities.
  • Monitoring, analysis, and necessary support for all kinds of official issues of every member.
  • Providing financial support along with legal assistance through the WBGRS Welfare Fund.
  • Block & District Level Annual General Meeting in every December or January on Physical Mode in every year.
  • Block & District Level General Meeting in every August or September on Physical Mode in every year.
  • Virtual Meeting of Executive Committee, State Committee, Welfare Committee, and District Committee in regular basis.
  • Maintain the accountability and transparency in all types of claims, payments, expenditures, fund transfers, and records through the online portal (WBGRSA-IFMS).
  • Completion the Audits of Accounts, TDS deduction, submission the ITR and other needful financial report through CA/Accountant regularly.
  • Completion the regular and necessary updates to the Association Web Portal.

Please note that the any kinds of administrative and policy-related activities, along with normal and general programs, are not included in the above list.
