Membership Rules Regulation Benefits

Our Association is a completely non-profit organization. Our Association fights for the welfare and development of contractual employees working under various Gram Panchayat offices in the state of West Bengal. Our goal is to ensure a healthy future for ourselves and our families. We demand dignity, a peaceful working atmosphere, and earnings that can at least secure our futures and those of our families.

 

Rules and Regulations for Membership:

The rules and regulations for membership are as follows:

  • Any Gram Rojgar Sahayak (GRS) working in every Gram Panchayat across West Bengal is eligible for membership in this Association. No other employees or individuals (excluding Gram Rojgar Sahayaks) are permitted to obtain membership in this Association under any circumstances.
  • Any Gram Rojgar Sahayaks (GRS) or existing members can submit new membership applications or membership renewals for the "Membership Registration/Renewal Process" for the specific financial year. Membership applications should be submitted through the online system. The entire process must be executed through the Association's website/online portal at www.wbgrsa.org. Any form of offline membership registration or renewal is not permitted under any circumstances.
  • This membership is valid for one (1) year from the date of registration/renewal. However, it will be considered applicable for a financial year. After registration, members must renew their membership each year or financial year.
  • The process for receiving membership applications will take place during a specific period in the financial year, which will be determined by the Association each financial year. The collection of the membership fee will occur during this designated period.
  • The membership fee must be submitted through an online payment system via Internet Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, UPI, E-Wallet, etc., on the Association's website. Any form of offline payment is not permitted under any circumstances.
  • The membership fee (renewal, re-enrolment, new enrolment) remains fixed at the Association's Annual General Meeting/General Meeting of the State Committee each financial year according to the approximate budget/expenditure. The membership fee may be adjusted or reconsidered annually based on decisions made at the Association's Annual General Meeting/General Meeting of the State Committee.
  • Members or applicants should pay only the scheduled amount fixed by the Association at the state level. Membership Benefits:

The benefits of membership are as follows:

  • Members are entitled to enjoy and avail themselves of all facilities and services provided by the Association.
  • Members can utilize the individual membership login on the Association's website.
  • Each member has the right to attend general meetings, programs, or conferences as directed by the Association.
  • A member has the right to run for the designated Block Committee.
  • Members can participate in the welfare and development of Gram Rojgar Sahayak (GRS).
  • The Association accepts grievances, objections, suggestions, feedback, and requests from members.
  • A member may request information from the Association in accordance with the specific rules of the Association.
  • Members can access all the benefits of the WBGRS Welfare Fund for legal assistance, death compensation, etc.

 

Member Login:

The Association also provides an individual member login on the Association's website for every member or applicant. Members can edit their data and view their membership records. Members can pay their Membership Fee, along with donations or contributions to the Welfare Fund (both for themselves and others). Members can generate the Membership payment invoice, Welfare Fund payment invoice, and Membership Certificate, among other documents. Members can submit any claims to the WBGRSA IFMS platform for any expenditure on behalf of the Association. Members can view those documents, which are only available to valid members and not to any unauthorized persons or non-members.

 

Technical Support:

The Association always provides technical support related to the Association's website and online payment system through a dedicated Web Developer from time to time for the benefit of the members. In case of an internal server issue with the payment gateway and the Association's website database, the payment confirmation may be delayed or erroneous. In that case, the applicant should contact the Association at westbengalgrsassociation@gmail.com or directly with the Web Administrator. The Association will take the initiative to resolve the issues after verification with the payment gateway and the Association's website database on a priority basis. 

 

Membership Fee Structure:

The membership fee can be regarded as an annual membership subscription fee for this Association. Membership fees are the main source of the Association's funds, which are utilized for the welfare and development of the Gram Rojgar Sahayak in the state of West Bengal. A convenience charge/service tax (2%) and GST (18% of the convenience charge/service tax) will be applicable for each membership transaction made through the online payment system of the payment gateway.

Refund of Membership Fee:

Termination of Membership:

The Association’s State Committee/Executive Committee shall have the power to expel or terminate a member or members from the membership of the above Association on the following grounds:

  • upon death,
  • upon written resignation,
  • upon resignation from the post of Gram Rojgar Sahayak (GRS),
  • if found to be involved in any antisocial activities,
  • if adjudged by any court of law to be a criminal offender,
  • if adjudged by any court of law to be a person of unsound mind,
  • if found guilty of undermining the aims and objectives of the Association,
  • if disregarding the rules and regulations or disobeying the decisions of the State Committee/Executive Committee,
  • if failing to attend three consecutive meetings of the Association.
  • The decision of the State Committee/Executive Committee regarding the termination of membership shall be communicated to the concerned member.

 

Duties of Members:

All members of the Association shall:

  • Formation and selection the Block Committee/District Committee of the Association.
  • Attend the General Meetings at the Block, subdivision, and District levels.
  • Participate regularly in all types of programs and activities (both virtual and physical) at all levels of the Association.
  • Provide necessary suggestions and feedback to the Association regarding any matter that needs to be communicated to it.
